Colour adds loads of spice and dazzle to the fashion world and hence the season’s hues are eagerly awaited. For spring-summer 2016, there is a mixture of bright as well as neutral shades that have been gracing the runways. Muslimah modest hijabis are also incorporating plenty of the Pantone colour trends for this season.

Nothing says summer like a peppy yellow. A deep, mature blend of yellow lit up all the fashion alleys for the summer of 2016. This vibrant shade has been incorporated in long maxi dresses with flowing silhouettes and floral motifs to add a dash of playfulness. Fashionista Ascia sports this trendy, vibrant shade with élan.

Fiesta

The burst of this colour is an overpowering strong orange shade that depicts power and immense energy. It can be worn by itself or paired with any other cooler, calmer shade like white or blue for a contrasting effect. Blogger @hijabiinstylemiami wears it in the form of an asymmetrical, flowy dress and pairs it with stark white.

Rose Quartz

As the name suggests this is a light, baby blush colour that borders on the pink and lilac family. Many hijabis have been sporting light pastel coloured scarves as it can be paired with a wide variety of outfits. From long dresses, hijabs to jackets and tiny sling bags, rose quartz is making a mark.

Serenity

This shade is a tranquil, calm, very light baby blue that emanates a positive feeling. It envelops the peaceful feeling of nature and its sky blue surroundings. This modest hijabi has donned a scarf and a long tunic in the serenity shade. It can be paired with bold or subtle colours.

Iced Coffee

Another pastel shade has been incorporated into this season’s spring trend, a cool, pastel, light brown, coffee shade. Hijabis have been sporting this light coffee shade through hijabs and abayas as it can be paired with many other bright or cool shades. Dina Tokio sports this trend with her signature turban and long abaya jacket over denims.

Now that you know what the colour trends for this season are, you can incorporate these shades into your hijabi wardrobe through sheilas, abayas, long maxis and many other outfits.
